4 – 5 years
By about four or five years of age, your child will have doubled his or her birth length and can name most colours.
5 – 6 years
Your child may be able to write some letters of the alphabet, and he or she can draw people with distinct body parts.
6 – 8 years
Your child can bounce a ball 4-6 times and will start to learn to tell the time.
8 – 10 years
Your child has a well-developed sense of humour and a strong sense of what’s right and wrong.
10 – 12 years
Over these three years, your daughter’s weight will on average increase from 34 to 41 kilograms, and your son’s from 31 to 39 kilograms.
